Which AI model powers your previews

Short Haircuts AI generates every preview with Google's Gemini 2.5 Flash Image model (also known as "nano-banana"), an image-to-image model accessed through the KIE.ai API. Your uploaded photo is sent to that model with a styling instruction, and the returned image is what you see as the "after".

Short Haircuts AI is an independent tool built on top of these third-party AI models. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Google or KIE.ai, and their names are used only to identify the underlying technology.

We may change or add AI providers as the technology improves; this page will always name the model currently in use.

Previews are approximations

Our previews are AI-generated illustrations. They are designed to help you decide, but they cannot perfectly predict how a real cut will fall on your specific hair.

Your face is not altered

The tool aims to change only the haircut while keeping your face, expression, and identity unchanged. If a result distorts your features, regenerate or try another photo.
