Short Haircuts AITry-On

Terms of Use

Last updated August 2026

By using Short Haircuts AI, you agree to these terms. Please read them — they explain what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.

Using the service

You may use the service to preview haircuts on photos you own or have permission to use. Do not upload photos of other people without their consent, and do not upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content.

Acceptable use and prohibited content

The service is strictly for previewing haircuts on ordinary, clothed portrait photos. You must not upload, generate, or attempt to generate any content that is NSFW, adult, pornographic, nude, sexually explicit, or sexually suggestive, nor any image sexualizing or depicting minors. This prohibition applies without exception.

You also must not use the service to create content that is violent, hateful, harassing, defamatory, or deceptive (including deepfakes intended to impersonate or mislead), to violate anyone's privacy or publicity rights, or for any unlawful purpose.

We use automated and manual moderation and may block uploads, refuse output, remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy. Serious violations may be reported to the relevant authorities. See “Reporting violations” and “Content moderation and enforcement” below for how to report content and how we handle reports.

Reporting violations

If you come across content generated or shared through Short Haircuts AI that you believe violates this policy — for example NSFW, nude, or sexual content, any content sexualizing or depicting a minor, a non-consensual or impersonating deepfake, or harassing, hateful, defamatory, or otherwise illegal material — please report it to us so we can act.

Email support@shorthaircuts.net with “Report” or “Abuse” in the subject line. Where you can, include the image (or a link/description), the approximate date and time, and why you believe it breaks our rules. This mailbox is monitored by our team; we deliberately keep a single staffed channel rather than several unattended ones.

For urgent or serious matters — content involving a minor, or an imminent safety risk to a real person — write “URGENT” in the subject line and we will prioritize it. You may report anonymously, and we will not retaliate against good-faith reports.

Content moderation and enforcement

We moderate the service at several layers, both in real time and after the fact.

Automated screening (real time): before any preview is generated, the try-on request is scanned by our payment provider Creem's Moderation API, and every uploaded photo and every generated image is screened by the underlying image model's content-safety filters (Google's Gemini 2.5 Flash Image via KIE.ai). Requests that are flagged or denied are blocked and no output is delivered. If a safety check is temporarily unavailable, we fail closed — we refuse the request rather than risk producing unsafe content.

Human review and periodic audits: our team reviews every report we receive, re-checks content and accounts that automated systems flag, and periodically audits activity on the service. Where a violation is found we may block uploads, refuse or remove output, and warn, suspend, or terminate the account. Content involving child safety is escalated immediately and reported to the relevant authorities.

Response times: we triage reports by severity. Critical (e.g. child-safety or an imminent safety threat) — reviewed within 2 hours; high (e.g. non-consensual or impersonating content) — within 24 hours; medium — within 3 business days; low — within 5 business days. Times are targets from when a report reaches our team.

Appeals: if your content or account is actioned and you believe it was a mistake, you can appeal by replying to our notice or emailing support@shorthaircuts.net. Appeals are reviewed by a team member who was not involved in the original decision.

AI-generated previews

Previews are AI-generated illustrations intended to help you make a decision. They are approximations, not guarantees of how a real haircut will look on you.

Previews are produced with Google's Gemini 2.5 Flash Image model ("nano-banana") via the KIE.ai API. See our AI Disclaimer for details on how the model is used.

Accounts, plans and billing

Some features require an account or payment. We sell credits used to generate previews (one try-on uses 10 credits); plans are described on the Pricing page.

Payments are processed by our merchant of record and authorized reseller — Creem (creem.io) or Waffo (waffo.ai), depending on your checkout. Whichever handles your purchase appears as the seller on your statement and handles billing and applicable taxes.

Our Monthly and Yearly plans are subscriptions that automatically renew each billing cycle at the then-current price until you cancel; each renewal grants a new allocation of credits. You can cancel anytime from your account or the Creem or Waffo customer portal linked in your receipt — cancellation stops future renewals, and you keep remaining credits until the end of the paid period.

Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Intellectual property

You keep the rights to photos you upload. We keep the rights to the software, design, and brand. You may use your generated previews for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions made based on AI previews, including real haircut outcomes.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
